5 Days from Casablanca to Sahara Desert

Day : 1 Casablanca – Rabat – Fes

Our 1st day of this 5 Days from Casablanca to Sahara Desert starts at 7/8.a.m. The driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Casablanca, then drive toward Fes city passing through Rabat. We’ll have the opportunity to visit some of Morocco travel sights; such as, the amazing rampart & the Oudaya gate, and the famous Hassan Tower. On Mekness, you will explore the old ramparts , Moulay Ismail stables and Bab Mansour; then, we’ll continue to Fes , the last destination for the 1st day on this tour from Casablanca to Merzouga Sahara desert 5 days , where we will overnight.

Day 2 : Visit Fez 

Today’s tour (5 Days from Casablanca to Sahara Desert) we will visit Fez, considered the Mecca of the West and the Athena of Africa. It is the largest city in the country after Casablanca, with a population of about one million inhabitants, and is the former capital and one of the four imperial cities of the country. Fez consists of three distinct parts: Fez el Bali, which is the oldest part, surrounded by a great wall, where there are more than 9,000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fez, where the Mellah is located, a neighborhood whose medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, is the oldest university in the world: the University of Al-Karaouine, founded in 859. This university is still in operation today.

Day 3 : Fez – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert 

Early pick up from your hotel in Fez and departure to the south of Morocco. You will stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, to enjoy its beauty and take memorable pictures. Afterwards, you will drive to Azrou to see the monks in the cedar forest. Continue to Midelt for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, you will cross the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of the Ziz Gorges. Later, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. The journey continues to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing through Aoufous and Erfoud (the latter is famous for its fossils and dates), where you may want to visit a local fossil craft workshop. You will then continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are also called Merzouga Dunes. you will find your Camels waiting to you to take a trip in the Dunes .

Day : 4 Merzouga – Todra gorges – Dades Gorges

In the 4rd day of this Morocco desert trip we’ll wake up early since we are in the heart of the Sahara desert , we will not miss the astonishing view sunrise on the top of the sand dunes of Erg-Chebbi.Then we’ll ride camels back to the Hotel. After breakfast and shower, we continue our desert tour of Casablanca to Marrakech via Sahara desert. We will drive through many Berber villages and towns. We will cross Tinjdad, Todra Gorges where we will stop to walk & explore the fascinating Todra Gorges that is known with its high montains ( 300m) which is really perfect to exercise climbing . We’ll have lunch in Todra Gorges. In the afternoon we drive toward Dades Valley, where we can stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the valley. Overnight of the 3rd day of our Morocco desert tour will be there.

Day 5 : Dades Gorges – Ourzazate – Marrakech 

We leave for Ouarzazate taking the road of the Thousand Kasbah and passing through Kelaa Mgouna and the village of Skoura with its palm groves. Ouarzazate is a quiet city with spacious streets. Famous for the film industry, Ouarzazate separates the mountains with the Sahara desert. We continue to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou where we visit the most attractive Kasbah of Morocco and the scene of numerous films such as Gladiator. The site of Ait Ben Haddou was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After lunch, we continue our way through the Tichka pass (2260M), with enchanting Berber views.  We arrive in Marrakech in the early afternoon. Enjoy the evening in the main square, Jamaa el fna, and stroll through the market end of our tour ( 5 Days from Casablanca to Sahara Desert ).
