This UNESCO World Heritage site offers a glimpse into Morocco’s fortified past. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant with a view of the ancient fortress. The route continues to Ouarzazate, passing by its renowned film studios. You have the option to visit them if you wish. We then drive through the “Rose City” of El Kelaa M’Gouna before arriving in Boumalne Dades. The night is spent here.

Day 2 – Boumalne Dades to Sahara Desert (Gorges & Dunes)

Breakfast precedes our continuation toward the Merzouga desert. The route winds through small cities and villages until reaching the impressive Todra Gorges. Towering canyon walls rise on either side, inviting admiration and photography. Lunch is taken at a popular local restaurant. The journey proceeds via Erfoud, the last town before the desert.

By early afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga. Camels await to carry you into the Erg Chebbi dunes. The ride pauses to watch the sunset over the sand sea, offering beautiful photo opportunities. Arrival at the desert camp follows. Dinner is served under a star-filled sky, accompanied by traditional Berber music. The night is spent in the camp.

Day 3 – Merzouga to Fes (Ziz Valley & Cedar Forest)

An early wake-up call rewards you with sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, we leave the desert behind. The route takes us through Erfoud to Errachidia, where a panoramic viewpoint overlooks the Ziz Valley.

We continue through the valley’s vast palm grove, pausing for photos. The journey proceeds to Midelt, a town famous for its apples. Lunch is taken along the way. Beyond Midelt, we drive past villages until reaching the cedar forests of Azrou. Here, wild Barbary macaques await. A pause allows time to watch the monkeys in their natural habitat.

The route continues to Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture. You’ll see its famous stone lion statue before arriving in the imperial city of Fes. The night is spent here.

Day 4 – Fes to Chefchaouen (The Blue City)

After breakfast, we depart north through the Rif Mountains. The journey offers the best landscapes and panoramic views of the region. Several Rif villages pass by before we arrive in the “Blue City” of Chefchaouen in the afternoon. Free time allows you to explore this charming city on foot. Its medina is best discovered by wandering its blue-washed alleyways. The night is spent in a traditional riad.

Day 5 – Chefchaouen to Tangier via Tetouan

After sunrise and breakfast, we will drive toward Tetouan, a city known as the “White Dove.” It lies along the Martil Valley and serves as one of Morocco’s two major Mediterranean ports. We will allot you some time here to explore its distinctive character.

From there, we will continue our journey to Tangier, a historic port on the Strait of Gibraltar. This city has served as a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times and ranks among the richest cities in Africa. We will arrive in the afternoon. After you check into your hotel, you will have free time to begin exploring. You will spend the night in Tangier.

Day 6 – Tangier to Asilah (Coastal Beauty)

After breakfast in the morning, we will leave Tangier. We will trace the scenic coastal road, which offers fresh sea air and ocean views. We will arrive early in Asilah, a beautiful town on the Atlantic Ocean shore.Over the past three decades, this city has transformed significantly. Its infrastructure has developed, making it an important cultural and tourist hub that attracts thousands of visitors annually.

We will visit the best and most famous sites before we have lunch at a top-rated restaurant. Afterwards, we will proceed to your hotel or riad. You will have free time in the afternoon to relax before we take a short group walk to explore the town further. You will spend the night in Asilah.

Day 7 – Asilah to Rabat (The Capital)

Sunrise and breakfast start the day as we continue toward Morocco’s capital, Rabat. The journey is long, so we stop for lunch along the way. Afterwards, we arrive in Rabat, a city resting along the shores of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean.

Visits include the Hassan Tower and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V. The tower was originally intended to be the world’s largest minaret. Construction halted in 1199 AD upon the death of Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour. An earthquake in 1755 AD caused further damage, yet its remains still testify to the original mosque’s grandeur. In the late afternoon, we go to your hotel. The night is spent in Rabat.

Day 8 – Rabat to Casablanca (The Journey’s End)

In the morning, we will make our final drive to Casablanca along the coastal road. We will pass through the small city of Skhirat before arriving in Morocco’s largest metropolis. Our main visit here will be to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. It stands as the largest mosque in Africa and the third largest in the Arab world.
